Job Summary

Utilize hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices to troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems, and components. Ensure safe operation of machinery, mechanical electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems by following blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions. Perform boiler chemical and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, record results in logbooks, and make necessary chemical adjustments. Conduct daily and weekly safety checks on boilers, utilities, and equipment parts, replacing filters and inspecting motor, belts, and fluid levels. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. This role requires on-the-job training and a minimum of six months repairing industrial processing equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment
  • Minimum of 6 months work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
  • Applicable military experience
  • Must pass UniFirst's maintenance knowledge assessment test
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
  • Lockout / Tagout experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
