Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines and mechanical equipment to keep operations efficient and safe. Coordinate with Operation Management to establish maintenance schedules that minimize production downtime. Assist in troubleshooting, dismantling, and rebuilding machinery while inspecting drives, motors, and belts. Complete work orders timely, review daily reports, and follow strict Lockout/Tagout procedures. Maintain positive relationships with all departments and support food quality and sanitation initiatives. Some travel between plants is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2+ years of experience with automated equipment
- 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing setting
- Possess strong self-motivation
- Able to communicate complex information effectively to other employees
- Able to assist in troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, controls, and electrical issues
- Know how to use basic computer programs like Microsoft Office
- Able to strictly follow any and all safety procedures and policies in place
- Able to use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Know how to operate industrial equipment safely and efficient
- Possess adequate hand dexterity to manipulate or move objects
- Able to work well with others in a team environment
- Able to lift/moving items weighing less than 60lbs
- Some travel may be required in between plants
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training or associates with an electromechanical focus
- 2+ years of experience with automated equipment preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a food manufacturing setting preferred
