Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I performs precision tune-ups and maintenance on HVAC equipment and accessories under general supervision. Responsibilities include routine maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment; limited diagnostics to identify potential problems; delivery and removal of parts and equipment; documenting call details with a handheld device and completing forms accurately; assisting service technicians; promoting products and services; coordinating with dispatch for status updates; delivering excellent customer service and striving for high customer satisfaction; representing the company professionally; following safety procedures and maintaining PPE; and being available for on-call shifts with flexible hours. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 0-2 years in HVAC; EPA and safety certifications; valid driver’s license; ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical/refrigerant/duct systems; strong communication and time-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred
- EPA and safety certifications required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and ability to operate tools/equipment
- Basic knowledge reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems
- Effective communication with customers and problem resolution
