Job Summary
Conduct maintenance on turnover and renovation units while responding to service requests for internal repairs, plumbing, HVAC systems, and common area clean-up. Fabricate and repair machine parts, cabinets, and wooden structures using tools such as lathes, grinders, and drills. Maintain inventory, prepare paperwork, and ensure storage facilities remain orderly. Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage based on the established schedule. Requires 2+ years of all-trades experience, ability to read service orders, and weekend availability. Full-time role at a 64-unit community in Newport Beach, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work
- Able to use required tools and machinery
- Professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- Knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work
- Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends required
- High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
