Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I at Downtown Ontario Luxury Apartments performs turnover and renovation work, responds to maintenance service requests, and handles external and internal repairs (drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliances, boilers and HVAC). The role fabricates and repairs cabinets and wooden structures, operates machine tools, maintains inventory and related paperwork, and participates in emergency and after-hours coverage. Requires reading and interpreting service orders, a focus on customer service with residents and vendors, OSHA/MSDS knowledge, and weekend work; prior experience in multiple trades and a high school diploma/GED are expected. This is a full-time on-site maintenance position at a 144-unit community managed by Sares Regis Group, with a schedule including Saturdays through Wednesdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- experience in electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.
- read and interpret service orders and safety instructions
- professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- MSDS/OSHA knowledge appropriate to scope of work
- three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
