Job Summary
Respond to maintenance service requests and perform repairs on internal and external systems, including plumbing, HVAC, drywall, and painting. Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts, while fabricating wooden structures like cabinets and counters. Maintain inventory, prepare paperwork, and ensure storage facilities remain orderly. Participate in emergency and after-hours coverage based on the established schedule. This role supports Alexan Danville, a 144-unit multifamily community managed by Sares Regis Group, which oversees over 42,000 apartment units across the western U.S.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Must have 1 year experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work
- Able to use required tools and machinery
- Professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors
- Knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements
- Knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work
- Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends
