Job Summary
Maintain property grounds and common areas while completing routine service requests, make-ready tasks, and minor repairs like paint touch-ups and hardware replacements. Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance, support seasonal preparation and storm response, and respond to on-call and emergency service requests. Follow all safety protocols, maintain a basic personal tool kit, and complete required training and compliance courses. This role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year maintenance or porter experience (multifamily preferred)
- Beginner-level exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or painting
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to safely operate hand and basic power tools to complete minor repairs
- Understanding chemical safety procedures
- Basic computer and mobile literacy and familiarity with work-order systems
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected
- Regular periods of sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching as well as use of hands and arms
- Lifting to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to respond promptly to both visual and auditory alarms
- Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet
- Working at a personal computer for administrative tasks and using mobile devices while in the field is required
