Job Summary
Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical problems on building and production equipment by adjusting, repairing, or replacing parts. Troubleshoot PLCs, AC/DC drives, motors, servo drives, and electronic instrumentation while using welders, cutting torches, and precision measuring instruments to fabricate or repair defective parts. Operate forklifts, run gas lines, and assist with production setup and movement. Maintain adequate parts supply, conduct safety and performance checks based on PM requirements, and document all maintenance records and parts usage. Comply with OSHA policies, quality programs, and AAR/FRA regulations while working in varied physical conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Prior maintenance experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for hydraulic and pneumatic tools
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to accommodate on-call responsibilities and work overtime when needed to support production staff
- Knowledge of power distribution systems
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques/instrumentation
- Knowledge of National Electrical Codes
- Five or more years experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a confined space
- Ability to use personal protective equipment as environmental conditions dictate
