Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including boilers, blending equipment, freeze dryers, and bioreactors, while maintaining proper documentation within the CMMS Maintenance program. Perform facility preventative maintenance on water systems, lighting, drywall, and electrical components, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies to ensure audit readiness. Assist in root cause analysis for breakdowns, manage inventory of maintenance supplies, and maintain a clean work area. Must be available for emergency on-call duties and weekend work, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language
- Must be able to work in a variety of conditions: noise, dust, heavy lifting, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to work individually and as part of a team, when needed
- Understand and follow the organization's health and safety policies
- Must follow GMP requirements and use PPE when required, such as respirators, and comply with company safety policies
- Must be able to recognize audible hazards
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen
- Must take part in special projects as assigned
- Participate in the Occupational, Health and Safety training sessions to ensure understanding of the EHS policies
- Maintain good attendance
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace to prevent accidents and health hazards
- Must be available for emergency on-call duties and weekend work
- Must be able to adjust the work schedule to support production requirements in emergency or special project situations
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year mechanical or maintenance experience required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a GMP manufacturing or production environment is a plus
- Knowledge/certification in HVAC, electrical, or refrigeration is a significant plus
