Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs across all Plymouth Housing Group buildings. Repair broken fixtures, clear drains, patch walls, and paint surfaces while completing work order forms accurately. Execute dump runs, donation pickups, and supply deliveries using Plymouth-owned vehicles. Accommodate vendor and guest escort requests for facilities like rooftop access. Apply pesticides as needed and serve as back-up for after-hours OC emergencies. Work in occupied and unoccupied units with exposure to pests and bodily fluids. Collaborate with the Maintenance team and Float Janitors to complete turnovers and repairs efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- One year experience in multi-family building maintenance (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and locksmithing.)
- Experience in assessing repair needs
- Valid Washington State Driver License with fully insurable driving record
- Able to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of voices
- Ability to assess problems in occupied residential buildings
- Ability to operate Plymouth owned vehicles
- Ability to communicate and understand written instructions on work orders
- Basic computer skills or ability to familiarize and learn how to use Microsoft Outlook email and enter data in Microsoft excel along with other applications i.e., payroll system
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with a diverse low-income population is desired
- Janitorial skills are desired
- Trade school program certifications is desired
- Experience driving commercial trucks is desired
- Working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems in multi-story buildings, e.g., pump repairs, replacement of water heaters, fans, baseboard heaters and thermostatic heating valves is desired
