Job Summary
Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Diagnose malfunctions by observing mechanical and electrical devices, using precision instruments to locate problems and adjust functional parts. Fabricate repair parts, manage equipment and parts inventories, and prepare maintenance reports. Perform building, lighting, and plumbing repairs as needed, while assisting with warranty issues, loading/unloading trucks, and maintaining vehicle fluids and tires. Work flexible hours including overtime, drive to other facilities and job sites, and lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 – 2 years of related experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work flexible hours including over time as needed
- May be required to drive to other facilities and job sites
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
