Maintenance Technician I

Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and kitchen/mechanical room systems, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools and equipment; identify and operate shut-offs; maintain inventory and requisition parts. Communicate daily activities to other shifts. Demonstrate knowledge in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and building controls; perform surface prep, painting, drywall/trim repairs, and light bulb/air filter changes. Troubleshoot and repair guestroom items and test equipment; program TVs; perform housekeeping and engineering inventory tasks. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures; conduct landscaping repairs. Basic computer skills for inputting schedules and adjusting temperatures. Adhere to safety, security, and company policies; maintain professional appearance and confidentiality; support team goals; communicate clearly; perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds; navigate stairs and ladders; use computers to locate work-related information. Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
Required Qualifications
