Maintenance Technician I

Maintain school buildings and grounds in top condition to ensure full and productive use of all district facilities. Perform basic repairs to facilities and equipment, assist with upkeep of grounds, and handle plumbing, painting, and general carpentry. Assemble and move furniture between buildings and offices while operating power equipment and hand tools. Work overtime when emergencies arise to prevent disruption of schools and complete all repairs professionally and timely per work orders. Requires heavy physical exertion and ability to work in all weather conditions. Reports to the Supervisor of Maintenance at Lexington City Schools.
