Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I responsible for safe-start participation, maintaining a safe/clean environment, adhering to 5S, performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production equipment per manuals and PM schedules, diagnosing issues, inspecting pre-operation conditions, setting up/operating basic machine tools, assisting with installing new production equipment, reading work instructions, and completing maintenance reports while supporting safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Related degree from a technical college, a plus
- 1 year of proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or internship while attending technical college preferred
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and use tape measure
- General mechanical knowledge
- General electrical knowledge
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
- Ability to use respirators (will have to be clean shaven on occasion)
- Ability to working at heights in aerial lift
- Ability to work outdoors in climate (hot/cold)
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and manuals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
