Job Summary
Respond to service requests for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs while documenting all work per company policy. Perform skilled trades including carpentry, painting, and window repair to make rental units ready for occupancy or correct unsafe conditions. Follow preventive maintenance programs, maintain tools and equipment, and adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including attics and crawl spaces, and drive company or personal vehicles as needed. Level 3 technicians may mentor teams and lead operations. Obtain EPA 608 certification within 180 days and complete OSHA-10 training within one year.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of general maintenance knowledge and experience
- 4-6 years of advanced knowledge and in one or more trades
- 7+ years advanced expertise across multiple trades to include a trade certification or equivalent experience
- Must obtain EPA 608 Certification within 180 days from hire
- Must obtain 608 Certification within 180 days from hire
- Complete OSHA-10 Training within 1 year from hire
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent)
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work, as well as to lift weights of up to 50 pounds regularly and above 50 pounds occasionally
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations
- Basic computer knowledge
- Reliable and dependable attendance and punctuality
- Basic understanding of safety practices
- DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State
- Must be able to drive for the Company using either a Company vehicle or a Personal/Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time
