Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician I provides general maintenance to rental housing, performing tasks such as air conditioning, plumbing, painting, and carpentry. Responsibilities include responding to service requests, performing skilled work in trades like HVAC and plumbing, maintaining tools and equipment, and assisting in making vacated units ready for new residents. The position requires 1-3 years of experience in building maintenance, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a valid driver's license. Customer service skills and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) with training and or experience in the building maintenance trades
- 1-3 years experience in building maintenance
- General knowledge of the maintenance trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physical work
- Basic Computer knowledge
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable and dependable attendance and punctuality
