Job Summary
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automation systems including conveyors, racking, dock doors, and material-handling equipment. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists while diagnosing malfunctions and calibrating motors, control panels, and wiring. Manage work orders via CMMS and Google Sheets, update logs, and support equipment upgrades or installations. Perform facility inspections for safety features and train new hires on machine operations. Work in compliance with food safety standards, OH&S legislation, and lockout/tagout procedures in a refrigerated environment.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, Mechatronics, Industrial Electrician, Electromechanical Technician, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a maintenance or industrial maintenance role
- Ability to safely push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and walking throughout the shift
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven manufacturing or production environment
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating or varying shifts, as required
- Willingness and ability to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C) and occasionally at-25 °C
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Calendar, Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet
