Job Summary
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on residential homes, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and building systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to determine appropriate repair solutions while responding to service requests and emergency maintenance calls in a timely manner. Conduct move-in, move-out, and routine home inspections to ensure quality standards are met, maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety protocols and military installation regulations. Assist with special projects, renovations, and community improvement initiatives as needed. This role supports active-duty service members and their families within Liberty Military Housing, one of the largest providers of military family housing in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience in residential, facilities, or maintenance work
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work orders
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Customer service mindset with professionalism and respect
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Commitment to safety and compliance standards
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC, electrical, or maintenance certifications
- Experience working in residential housing or property management environments
- Familiarity with CMMS or workorder tracking systems
- Experience working on or near military installations
- EPA Universal Certification
