Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I role supports plant production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on medical device manufacturing equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, motor controls, electrical systems, and related instrumentation. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, completing work orders in CMMS with GDP compliance, maintaining spare parts inventory for assigned area, adhering to EHS and cGMP standards, participating in continuous improvement projects, and collaborating with EHS and maintenance teams. Required skills emphasize reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, PLC/SCADA experiences, experience with industrial sensors and high-speed packaging equipment, and strong communication. The role requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience in automated manufacturing environments and a willingness to work in a clean-room manufacturing setting with proper PPE.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of prior maintenance experience on automated manufacturing machines/equipment
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Maximo preferred
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Omron). SCADA/EMS/BMS experience preferred
- Experience with motor controls, variable speed/variable frequency drives, servos, stepper motors, high speed packaging equipment, pneumatic systems
- Reading and working with electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, building drawings, and part diagrams
- Working knowledge of sensors, actuators, and automation components such as photo eyes, limit switches, proximity sensors, temperature controllers, inkjet printers, and Cognex/Keyence vision systems
- Experience maintaining high-speed manufacturing/packaging equipment and related systems
- Electrical knowledge up to 480V 3-Phase, relays, switches, sensors, solenoids, servo motors, low voltage systems
- Ability to operate in a clean room environment with PPE
