Job Summary
Perform repairs in rental units, common areas, offices, grounds, and parking lots covering carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, appliances, masonry, painting, and hardware. Complete assigned service requests consistent with company operating procedures and prepare vacant apartments for market-ready status. Maintain curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities while adhering to a Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule with a rotating on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
- General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
- Availability for on-call activity during off hours for urgent needs
- Ability to speak and understand basic English
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities
- A current vehicle license in good standing and meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training
- Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT)
