Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I at Eaton in Beltsville, MD supports 3rd shift operations (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) performing routine facilities maintenance and entry-level mechanical, electrical, repair, and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment under direct supervision. Responsibilities include observing equipment in operation, dismantling to replace defective parts, adjusting control instruments, performing lubrication and coolant changes, assembling furniture or shelving from kits, and providing support for other maintenance technicians. The role requires adherence to safety and environmental standards, ability to work with lubricants/solvents, lifting up to 35 lbs, operating lift trucks and material-handling equipment, and following maintenance procedures per manufacturer specifications; prior CNC machining, metalworking, or welding experience is preferred. ITAR compliance and geographic eligibility within 50 miles of the Beltsville facility are noted, with no immigration sponsorship offered and a 50-mile radius constraint for applicants.
