Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role providing proactive and corrective maintenance, supporting production targets, reducing downtime, and maintaining spare parts inventory. Requires experience in industrial maintenance, knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics/electrical/mechanical systems, ability to troubleshoot using proper safety procedures, and strong communication to coordinate with operators, maintenance colleagues, and management. Role involves hands-on maintenance, adherence to Lock/Tag/Try procedures, and contributing to process improvements; on-site at Hydro Aluminium Metals in Cassopolis, MI with travel under 2% and a pay range of $36-$40 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED
- 5+ years relevant job experience preferred
- Experience in industrial maintenance position
- Excellent communication and interaction skills
- OSHA knowledge advantageous
- Solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, combustion, electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Preventive maintenance and ability to pass mechanical comprehension and basic mathematics assessments
- Proficient with PCs and PM-software utilization
- Ability to stand, kneel, climb stairs and ladders; lift up to 50 pounds
- Travel less than 2% (as stated)
