Job Summary
Complete resident service requests and repairs, including appliance work, while performing preventative maintenance and diagnosing defects per established safety standards. Execute the "make-ready" process for vacant units by inspecting properties, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendor schedules. Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting signage, while tracking inventory and documenting all service requests accurately. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with on-call availability for emergencies. This role supports Greystar's mission as the largest US apartment operator by ensuring physical assets meet high standards for cleanliness and functionality across Huntington Park properties.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
- High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
- Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet)
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking 'call' during evenings, weekends and holidays
- Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position
