Job Summary
Receive work orders or verbal instructions to perform repairs and maintenance on hotel equipment, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and masonry. Execute preventative maintenance schedules, replace worn parts, and service pool and spa areas while recording all activities in log books. Assist departments with moving furniture, cleaning internal and public areas, emptying trash, and operating snow removal equipment as needed. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints, maintaining relationships with internal teams, external contractors, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- An ability to advance knowledge in technical crafts (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is essential
- Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to hotel maintenance issues in accordance to the brand standards
- Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
- High degree of attention to detail
- Able to work on your own or in teams
Desired Qualifications
- Specialization in technical crafts (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Two years of college or vocational training in electrical or mechanical engineering or plumbing preferred
- Previous facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services experienced preferred
