Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic III is a senior-level industrial maintenance professional responsible for advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant and production equipment. Leads and mentors junior maintenance mechanics; performs preventive and corrective maintenance; reads blueprints, schematics, diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications; applies Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures; calibrates and performs precision adjustments; supports continuous improvement initiatives; collaborates with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize uptime; requires 5+ years in industrial/manufacturing maintenance; HS diploma or equivalent; Powered Industrial Equipment Certification preferred; capabilities include advanced troubleshooting, NC equipment, and strong manual dexterity. This is a second-shift, full-time role based in Plymouth, MI, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Typically 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Comprehensive working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid dynamics systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proven problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
