Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems while conducting preventive maintenance on building equipment. Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards, then repair doors, windows, flooring, walls, and other components. Replace consumable materials like light bulbs and filters, maintain grounds including snow removal and landscaping, and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. Operate hand and power tools safely, maintain work records, and coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and departmental 5S housekeeping standards. A valid driver's license and basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry systems
- Maintenance, facilities, or building repair experience
- valid driver's license
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Ability to follow verbal directions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exhibits meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, both mechanical and electrical, technical documents, and manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written
- Demonstrated ability in time management
