Job Summary
Hands-on Handyperson / Maintenance Technician for a 256-unit residential community in Dallas, TX. Performs routine maintenance, basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry, unit turns, repairs, and responds to service requests; coordinates with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor/Superintendent; participates in on-call rotation; requires 2 years maintenance experience; strong troubleshooting; able to interact with residents.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, handyperson, or maintenance technician experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Residential, multifamily, apartment, affordable housing, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple service requests and changing priorities
- Good communication skills and ability to work professionally with residents, staff, vendors, and management
- Comfortable using email, text messages, mobile apps, or work order systems for business purposes
- Reliable transportation to and from the property
- Own basic tools for general maintenance tasks preferred
