Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on residential properties, including light plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical work. Coordinate with tenants to schedule access for repairs and efficiently manage incoming service requests. Repair walkways and exteriors while tracking time and logging completed activities. Participate in on-call rotations with the Superintendent to respond to tenant issues, with compensation provided for travel. Complete renovation projects as needed and perform high-quality work with attention to detail. Available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including additional hours and adjusted shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience with a successful track record as a Maintenance Technician/Handyperson
- Experienced and knowledgeable in construction and maintenance
- Able to handle a wide variety of repairs, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills to communicate with tenants and other staff effectively
- Good at using email, text messages, and apps for business purposes
- Thorough understanding of safety hazards and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including additional hours and adjusted shifts as required
Desired Qualifications
- Owning tools needed for general handyperson tasks is preferred
