Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance on apartment equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Conduct daily inspections of vacant units, remove debris, and manage snow removal while adhering to standardized diagnostic approaches. Assist in training entry-level staff, inspect subcontractors, and document work quality. Maintain inventory of parts and complete administrative duties for maintenance requests. Available for 24-hour emergency calls with an 8-hour Monday through Friday schedule and occasional weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years maintenance experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
- Fair Housing Certificate
- Drivers license
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- Must have own tools
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- Must be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled
- A clean background check
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC and/or EPA certification
- Previous multifamily experience
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
