Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance on appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Conduct daily inspections of building interiors and grounds, removing debris, removing snow and ice from walkways, and winterizing facilities to prevent freeze damage. Assist in training entry-level staff, inspect subcontracted providers, and document work quality while maintaining inventory and recording maintenance requests. Available for emergency calls 24 hours a day when scheduled, with occasional overtime and weekend requirements. Requires two years of maintenance experience, a driver's license, and a clean background check.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years maintenance experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
- Fair Housing Certificate
- Drivers license
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- Must have own tools

Desired Qualifications
- HVAC and/or EPA certification
- Previous multifamily experience
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
