Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform repairs, troubleshoot systems, and complete preventative maintenance on appliances, electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC. Conduct daily inspections of grounds, common areas, and vacant units to remove debris, remove snow and ice, and ensure turnovers are finished. Assist in training entry-level staff, inspect subcontracted providers, and document work quality. Maintain inventory, record maintenance requests, and adhere to standardized diagnostic approaches. Available for 24-hour emergency calls with an occasional on-call rotation. Requires two years of maintenance experience, a driver's license, and a clean background check.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years maintenance experience
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written English communication skills
- Fair Housing Certificate
- Drivers license
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts
- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- Must have own tools
- Must possess the knowledge and have the tools to perform on-site basic repairs including HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, facility electrical systems, plumbing systems, and any other special equipment on a property
- Must be capable of performing administrative duties including following proper procedures for recording maintenance requests and responding to them, use proper forms, and maintain inventory of parts

- Must be available for emergency maintenance calls 24 hours a day when scheduled

- Must be able to move heavy equipment safely, using proper equipment
- A clean background check
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC and/or EPA certification
- Previous multifamily experience
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification
