Maintenance Technician/ Groundskeeper

Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance on association components, including painting and drywall repairs, while sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors in common areas. Empty ashtrays, transport trash, and remove debris from driveways, garages, and pool areas. Wash outdoor walls, ceilings, and woodwork, maintaining assigned equipment in good working condition. Report maintenance items such as burned-out lights or leaks to the Building Maintenance Department and observe safety precautions around chemical solutions. Perform duties in outdoor climates, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Minimum two years of groundskeeping or janitorial experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years working in groundskeeping or janitorial
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products
- Must have the ability to react and address all emergency situations in a timely manner
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work with Paint
- Must be able to work with Drywall
- Ability to work with and around chemical cleaning solutions
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to crawl in small and tight spaces
- Ability to stoop and/or kneel
- Ability to lift and/or move and/or carry up to 20 pounds or more in the work environment
- Ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required
- Ability to repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers
