Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for the general appearance and ongoing maintenance of the property, including testing emergency lighting, plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry, HVAC-related tasks, snow removal, and safety compliance. Must respond to emergencies within 30 minutes, perform preventative maintenance per manuals, manage work requests within 24 hours, and adhere to Fair Housing regulations. Requires on-call availability, ability to operate tools and equipment, and capability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions. Must have basic knowledge of electrical/plumbing systems, be able to lift 20-70 pounds, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- One to three months’ related experience in maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
- Valid driver’s license with current vehicle insurance
- Ability to lift or move 20-70 pounds regularly
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to communicate in English clearly
