Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform assigned maintenance tasks under supervision, including plumbing, drywalling, painting, and fixture repair while traveling daily to various locations within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Purchase repair materials using company accounts, maintain and stock supply inventory, and update the computerized maintenance management system as tasks are completed or issues arise. Track mileage and reimbursable expenses, submit monthly expense reports, and complete required safety training. Work a regular Monday through Friday daytime schedule with a rotating on-call rotation that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays for emergency dispatching.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to Three years' of recent experience in maintenance that required driving between work locations
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Valid 'clear' driver's license
- Able to drive to any locations within the Goodwill market area
- Able to manage time effectively
- Prioritizing assignments to ensure that the most critical work orders are completed in a timely manner
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of previous experience in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and other general maintenance activities
- One to Three years' of recent experience in maintenance of a multi-unit commercial building or retail environment that required driving between work locations
