Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and all other machinery while complying with safety processes, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Perform daily visual inspections of the building, grounds, equipment, and projects in process, and follow Total Preventative Maintenance guidelines. Fabricate parts as needed for repairs and track all repairs in Manager Plus to identify recurring themes. Collaborate with plant supervisors and operations to increase equipment reliability and uptime, and communicate potential or immediate issues to the maintenance manager. Analyze repair trends to make recommendations for improving machine uptime.
Required Qualifications
- Strong industrial mechanical equipment skills
- Proven troubleshooting, problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to prioritize repairs according to urgency
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- Successful completion of Industrial Maintenance apprenticeship program or other accredited training
- 10+ years industrial maintenance repair and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
