Job Summary
Maintenance Technician role focusing on technical/mechanical upkeep of building interiors and exteriors, grounds, amenities, and common areas. Responsibilities include completing work orders within 24-48 hours, performing make-ready tasks for move-ins, diagnosing and repairing defects, maintaining inventory and safety practices, documenting work, supervising or coordinating with vendors/contractors as needed, and ensuring compliance with policies and codes. Requires hands-on use of tools, adherence to safety standards, ability to inspect and report on property conditions, strong communication with residents and team, and flexibility to work a 40-hour schedule with occasional after-hours coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications
- Current valid driver’s license
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Experience with hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Proficiency with computers (internet, word processing, spreadsheet, database) and property management systems preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks and work in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Experience or ability to inspect and coordinate with contractors/vendors
