Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at PEM Residential supports the Service Manager and Community Manager by executing general and preventative maintenance across residential properties. Responsibilities include preparing vacant apartments for move-in, completing work orders within 2 business days, maintaining grounds and common areas, servicing amenities (pools, spas, fitness areas) per safety standards, assisting with curb appeal tasks, performing basic to intermediate repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliances and mechanical systems, proactively identifying maintenance needs, adhering to safety protocols and building codes, and participating in on-call rotations for after-hours or weekend emergencies. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and contributing to process improvements, with a requirement for high school diploma or GED (trade/technical certification preferred) and relevant certifications as listed. Must be dependable, able to work independently or with a team, have good customer service, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks; willingness to pass background checks and maintain a valid driver's license. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Trade school or technical certification preferred
- HVAC EPA Certification preferred
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred
- Ability to read and understand instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
