Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)

Job Summary

Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely to determine repair needs and diagnose mechanical problems using manuals or catalogs. Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and building structures while installing, assembling, and repairing specialized equipment. Maintain and replace structural items, paint surfaces, and manage landscaping and snow removal to ensure safety and appearance. Input work requests into the electronic system, follow all safety and regulatory policies, and attend required training. On-call for maintenance emergencies. Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One to two years of related experience in maintenance
  • Ability to operate a computer and operate maintenance software
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • On-call for maintenance emergencies
  • Ability to stand
  • Ability to walk
  • Ability to climb
  • Ability to squat/kneel
  • Ability to bend
  • Ability to handle/finger
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. minimum (occasionally)
  • Ability to push/pull 50 lbs. minimum (up to 100 lbs. occasionally)
  • Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception)
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in the senior housing industry
  • Certification in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC
