Job Summary
Maintenance Technician; reports to Property Manager; responsible for maintenance/repair/improvement tasks across apartment complex per directions, with a focus on timely service requests and preventive maintenance. Requires working knowledge of HVAC systems and appliances (stoves, dishwashers, disposals, refrigerators), plus basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to walk the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and perform various physical tasks. Duties include observing conditions, communicating with the Property Manager, maintaining inventories, preparing reports, performing make-ready tasks in turnover units, maintaining safety and proper documentation, and adhering to company policies. Work hours are typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with on-call duties; location is Dublin, GA, US (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- Familiarity with appliances (stoves, dishwashers, disposals, refrigerators)
- Knowledge of electricity, plumbing, and carpentry
- Having maintenance tools
- Ability to perform physical tasks (walk, lift heavy items, stairs)
- Ability to report daily to Property Manager and communicate maintenance issues
- Ability to establish preventive maintenance schedules
