Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for completing general building maintenance repairs and unit make-ready duties on empty units. Includes electrical, plumbing, drywall replacement/repair, painting, lock replacement, tile repairs, blinds/window treatments, and HVAC furnace and A/C repairs. Manages work orders, schedules vendors, maintains inventory, completes preventive maintenance, monitors work by outside contractors, and handles 24-hour emergency maintenance calls. Ensures safety standards and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines; may perform grounds work and assist with annual inspections with outside vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and appliance repair knowledge
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to use hand tools
- Must be able to use maintenance equipment
- Must own and provide necessary tools related to assigned duties
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of building maintenance including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing
