Job Summary
Complete maintenance service requests, repairs, and make-ready units for apartment buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. Execute preventive maintenance projects, manage property supplies and equipment inventory, and supply personal tools while maintaining a clean work area. Respond to emergency calls during the on-call rotation and escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director. Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and co-workers while adhering to safety policies and Fair Housing regulations. Weekend work may be required.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC certified
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Proficient in use of computers and online applications
- Weekend work
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs or more
- Strong constant finger and hand dexterity
- Good eyesight
- Good hearing
- Ability to comprehend and speak
- Ability to work in a variety of conditions including both indoors and outdoors
- Ability to work in outside weather conditions
- Ability to work around moving mechanical parts
- Ability to work in high and precarious places
- Ability to work around fumes or airborne particles
- Ability to work around toxic or caustic chemicals
- Ability to work around risk of electrical shock
- Ability to work in moderate noise level
- Drug free workplace compliance
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including criminal background check
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including motor vehicle reporting
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including drug testing
- Successful completion of pre-employment process including reference checks
- Adherence to company safety policies

Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience
- Three years of experience in apartment maintenance
- HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO)
- Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo
