Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at ResProp Management responsible for driving resident satisfaction and property performance by handling work orders promptly, performing preventative maintenance, maintaining safe and attractive common areas, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, coordinating with the Maintenance Supervisor, and using software to track tasks and performance. Must have or pursue relevant maintenance experience (1+ year), and possess (or prefer) EPA Type I/II/Universal certification and various trade skills (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliances). Role involves physically active duties, on-call rotation, and a diverse schedule, with strong emphasis on customer service and safety.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of general maintenance/general repair experience, preferably in the multifamily or related industry
- EPA Type I, Type II or Universal certification strongly preferred
- Trade skills including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, framing, painting, roofing, cabinetry, pools, appliance, etc.
- Trade Licensing preferred but not required
- Must have own hand tools
- Must live within 30 minutes of community
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to accommodate a rotating on-call schedule
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job such as lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is nice to have
