Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, utilities, and manufacturing support equipment in a pharmaceutical environment. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues while monitoring compressed air, purified water, and steam generators. Execute repairs for plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance, and coordinate with contractors for facility improvements. Complete work orders and documentation in the CMMS, ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, and OSHA standards. Assist with audits, deviations, and root cause investigations to minimize downtime. Available for overtime, weekends, and on-call support for emergency issues.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC and facility maintenance
- Experience with building management systems (BMS)
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Experience with purified water systems
- Experience with cleanroom environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems
- Strong knowledge of Boilers and chillers
- Strong knowledge of Air compressors
- Strong knowledge of Pumps and motors
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read and electrical schematics
- Ability to read schematics
- Ability to read P&IDs
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a regulated environment
- Ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to work on rooftops
- Ability to work in mechanical rooms
- Ability to work in manufacturing areas
- Ability to wear required PPE
- Must be available for overtime
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for on-call support
- Must be willing to support emergency facility issues outside normal working hours
Desired Qualifications
- Trade school, vocational training, or technical degree
- EPA Universal Certification
