Maintenance Technician (F/M/X)

Job Summary
Respond to daily guest room calls for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and internet issues while maintaining brand luxury service standards. Conduct routine preventative maintenance on guest rooms, ballrooms, and equipment, including light plumbing, electrical repairs, and HVAC/R field work. Perform tasks such as clearing drains, repairing sinks, painting, drywall, and maintaining kitchen and pool equipment. Complete work orders, document activities in logs, and monitor building management systems for event temperature scheduling. Assist with forklift operation and participate in quarterly preventative maintenance projects. Work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Fluency in Portuguese required; certified Refrigeration & HVAC mechanic experience is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Maintenance role
- Electrical, plumbing and basic maintenance skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work different shifts including morning, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure and technical manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or colleagues
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including BMS (Building Management Systems)
- Fluent in Portuguese
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Familiarity of various tools to complete job and work safely
- Ability to work as part of a team and also with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Refrigeration & HVAC mechanic
- Basic knowledge of drywall repair, painting of all types and ability to match texture
- Previous experience with chiller, boiler, water treatment, cooling tower experience
- Good knowledge of English
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
