Job Summary
Maintenance Technician at Estrella Commons is responsible for maintaining the community’s physical integrity, handling repairs to apartments and common areas, preparing vacant units, safety/compliance, and coordinating with residents and staff. Core duties include timely response to service requests, documenting preventive maintenance and make-ready status, grounds upkeep, changes to locks and keys, and coordinating with vendors. Requires hands-on experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and familiarity with OSHA guidelines. Must furnish own tools and have transport to obtain parts; drug and background screening required. 40+ hours weekly with evenings, weekends, and on-call as needed. Hourly pay range $22-$23.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent maintenance-related fieldwork
- Hands-on experience within basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems
- HVAC certified
- CFC/EPA approved certification (or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire)
- Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred, willingness to obtain CAMT if requested by management
