Job Summary
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, respond to emergency breakdowns, and inspect equipment for safety compliance. Collaborate with production teams to identify maintenance needs, assist with equipment setup and calibration, and maintain accurate maintenance logs. Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to develop maintenance schedules and procedures while ensuring strict adherence to OSHA laws and 5S standards. Complete 1st shift on-site at the Manchester, IA facility.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Understanding of industrial instrumentation and control
- Knowledge of OSHA laws as related to general shop practice
- Basic mechanical ability to dismantle and reassemble simple assemblies
- Ability to consistently lift 40 lbs
- Ability to work on lift platforms up to 30 ft high
- Ability to climb ladders up to 35 ft
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems and equipment
- Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license
