Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for completing maintenance service requests across general repairs (drywall, painting, carpentry), HVAC, plumbing, and other appliances; assist in turn-key operations like preparing vacant units rent-ready; perform grounds maintenance; ensure OSHA-compliant safety and company guidelines; on-call and non-traditional scheduling as needed; requires problem-solving, reading diagrams/meters, and coordinating with residents, vendors, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or specialized vocational training
- 1+ years of experience in building and facility maintenance (handyman experience acceptable)
- Licensing and trade certification in HVAC, Electrical Wiring, or Plumbing highly desired
- Valid Driver's License with automobile insurance and reliable transportation
- Ability to read and write in English at an intermediate level; basic math for measurements and unit conversions
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot equipment
- Ability to work overtime and on-call including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
