Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive maintenance and repairs of plant equipment and facilities at the Kansas City, MO site. Perform scheduled maintenance on conveyors, HVAC, roofing and related items; diagnose and repair plant equipment; perform upkeep of buildings and grounds; apply carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical skills for minor repairs; read manuals to assist in repairs; document completed work orders; develop preventive maintenance procedures; maintain a clean, safe, and efficient facility; travel or movement involving lifting up to 50 pounds; comply with safety, drug testing, and background checks as required by the employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years in maintenance related field
- Must pass physical, drug test and background check
- Understanding of safety, lockout/tagout, and compliance protocols
- Preferred: Certification or license in boiler, welding or electrical field
- Associate Degree from a two-year college or technical school in related field
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and OSHA training
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
