Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Process work orders and perform daily preventative maintenance on machinery, including air systems, refrigeration units, hydraulic tanks, compressors, and condensers. Repair, service, adjust, and test equipment while assembling and disassembling components with hand and power tools. Operate forklifts, hoists, and other heavy equipment as needed, immediately reporting or repairing any problems noted during the shift. Communicate with maintenance management for direction or coordination of activities. Maintain high safety standards and follow established procedures. Work flexible hours, including weekends, with minimum supervision. Minimum of one year of plant maintenance experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Above average mechanical aptitude servicing precision machine parts
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Knowledge and ability to maintain certification to operate various material handling equipment and to service complex refrigeration and mechanical systems
- Must have regular and punctual attendance
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of computers and software is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of plant maintenance experience is preferred
