Job Summary
Execute comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems across weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual intervals. Collaborate with production personnel to address equipment concerns and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. Operate workshop equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols in a steel manufacturing environment involving moving machinery, heavy equipment, and fluctuating temperatures. Maintain orderly work areas and report issues promptly to ensure facility efficiency and safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- 2+ years related experience or training
- Practical electrical experience, including working with wiring and components
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift
- Ability to effectively communicate with others
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to hear warning signals
- Ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment
